Parkside Studio College

Parkside Studio College is a new specialist provider catering exclusively for 14 to 19 year olds.   As the first studio school in the area, the Parkside offer is designed to meet the needs of young people of all abilities, and particularly those who enjoy a ‘hands on’ practical approach to learning.  

Through high quality classroom learning with practical work related activities both in and beyond the College, students who attend Parkside not only continue to gain qualifications in traditional core subjects, but can also become experts in pathways, such as Media, Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy, Health and Social Care, Hospitality and Catering, and also Sport.

Building on the inclusive and enterprising ethos which has brought outstanding success to the students of Rosedale and Hewens College, Parkside gives learners even greater choice by providing a truly unique offer which combines academic and vocational learning, together with real work experience. Through a personalised curriculum tailored to suit skills and interests, these specialist courses are delivered through the use of industry standard, state-of-the-art equipment in newly refurbished buildings.  Considerable investment has been made to ensure that young people can develop the skills, experiences and qualifications necessary to succeed in an increasingly competitive employment market.
