Dress Code
The Trust’s Post 16 students are leaders in the college and local community. Their dress and appearance must therefore be appropriate to support and encourage the ethos of the Trust, as well as the uniform and appearance policies in operation in Key Stage 3 and 4. The Trust expects its students to follow this dress code, for they are ambassadors who set the standards that aspiring learners in lower year groups will follow.
The principles of the code are that students should dress smartly and with a formality appropriate for the business/educational workplace. Students should be mindful that at all times and in all places, their appearance and conduct contribute to the community’s perception of The Rosedale Hewens Academy Trust.
The following table outlines what is acceptable and what is unacceptable on ALL College campuses. The Trust expects that all of its students will meet the expectations, however there are sanctions for uniform transgressions.
The Trust reserves the right to ask students to modify/change their dress if they do not meet the requirements and/or the ethos of the Post 16 dress code.
All Post-16 students are required to wear their ID badge visibly at all times when on all Trust campuses. Students will not be permitted to enter a College campus without the ID badge for safety purposes.
*It is compulsory for all male students to wear a tie at all times.
