Join the Committee Review of Persistent Absenteeism

Hillingdon Council’s Children, Families and Education Select Committee is undertaking a major review of persistent absenteeism across the borough.

As a key partner, the Committee would like to hear from you.

With this in mind, the Committee would like to invite you to attend a virtual witness session with Committee Members to discuss your experiences. The session will take place at 18:00pm on Wednesday 6th November 2024 via Microsoft Teams.

What is the event for? This session will enable the Committee to hear directly from you on your experiences of persistent absenteeism among your young people. It is intended that this review will help the Committee to formulate recommendations to the decision-making Cabinet in order to improve attendance.

Who will be present? In attendance will be eight Members of the Children, Families and Education Select Committee, plus the clerk to the Committee.

(The Committee is comprised of seven Councillors and one Co-Opted Member (find more information here)
